This evening the Lowy Institute for International Policy will host the former Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. John Howard OM AC, who will deliver an address on the 10th anniversary of the war in Iraq.
Speaking on the anniversary of the day that Baghdad fell to US forces, Mr Howard will discuss Australia’s involvement in the military campaign to overthrow the regime of Saddam Hussein and what the war has meant for the future of Iraq and the broader Middle East.
‘We are delighted that the former Prime Minister has chosen to make his first major speech on Iraq since leaving office at the Lowy Institute’, said Lowy Institute Executive Director, Dr Michael Fullilove.
