Alex Stewart is a PhD candidate with the Institute for Social Research at Swinburne University in Melbourne. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology in Dresden, Germany, specialising in international law, and an Honours degree from Swinburne University. His research focuses on governance issues in the Pacific Islands, with a particular focus on Melanesian regionalism.
