Dan Waites is Communication and Cooperation Delegate for the International Committee of the Red Cross in Papua New Guinea. He serves as spokesperson for the Geneva-based humanitarian organisation in PNG and coordinates its communication activities throughout the country. He previously worked for the ICRC in Myanmar and Thailand. Before joining the organisation in 2011, he worked as a journalist covering politics and business in South East Asia. He was born in Durham, England.
