Jingchao Peng currently resides in Tokyo and is conducting research on the maritime policies of East Asian states. He holds an MA in International Relations from Waseda University. He previously worked for the China and Global Security Program of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. He has published on topics such as China and the Arctic, China and the Law of the Sea and Sino-Russian relations.
