Dr ‘Ungatea Fonua Kata is Director of Tupou Tertiary Institute (TTI), one of the tertiary institutes in the Kingdom of Tonga that operates under the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga Education System. She leads TTI’s Research and Training Centre, a research unit committed to collaborating and partnering with local Tongan communities and civil society organisations as well as international partners to collect information, using locally led appropriate research approaches.
