Asia in 2025 – the return of Donald Trump
Lowy Institute experts and guests examined the implications for Asia of Donald Trump's re-election as US President, in a panel event on 11 December. The panel discussed the consequences of his re-election for US security and trade ties with the Indo-Pacific, how countries in Asia are preparing for Trump's return to the White House, and the outlook for US-China tensions and key regional flashpoints, including Taiwan and the South China Sea.
